THE 2020 LET’S DO IT MAURITIUS NATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION supported by ANPRAS, Aestetika Studio, and Let’s Do It Mauritius, was opened to ALL residents and citizens in Mauritius and Rodrigues. The participants had to write and compose a catchy song that would inspire the nation to #KeepMauritiusClean.

Being amongst the 3 social media content creators for this campaign, our job was to encourage people to participate but also inspire them to write about the right message with dynamic content.

We worked in collaboration with amazing artists who accepted to select the finalists and to reward the 3 winners in the end. La Nikita, Bigg Frankii, Warren Permal, and our guest judge Tey, were all excited to share their expertise and time to bring this competition to another level.

Social Media content

For the social media campaign, the creative team worked hard to come up with wonderful ideas to boost participation in the songwriting competition. Among all the work done, we created 3 short music videos in 3 different genres. “Pick It Up” as Rap, “Don’t Litter” as Rock, and “Vini” as Reggae-type of vibe. All these were used to give to the public examples of songs needed for the competition, but also to promote it on different platforms.

Moreover, posters were designed in a way to inspire people to participate but also to shed light on our environmental issue that trash is everywhere and that we can make a change by voicing out and acting.

A successful event

The Grand Finale was held in November 2020, at The Core Ebene, in collaboration with the CILL Department from the University of Mauritius. A green carpet experience was organized on that day, to welcome all finalists, judges, and sponsors who helped make that competition a success.
